Is Manual Handling Training a Legal Requirement in Ireland?
Yes. The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 require Irish employers to provide manual handling training to any employee whose work involves manual handling activities. Failure to comply can result in HSA enforcement action and civil liability.
How Long is a Manual Handling Certificate Valid?
A manual handling certificate issued on successful completion of the Collier Training Solutions course is valid for 3 years. A refresher course is recommended before expiry to maintain good technique and certificate currency.
